Wagner Eager to Lead Clemson Men's Program
Share:

Brandon Wagner has spent time in the SEC, Big 12 and AAC. His first college head coaching job will come in the ACC.

Wagner was recently named the head coach of the Clemson University men’s program. He takes over the Tigers after spending the last five years as an assistant and associate head coach at the University of Texas. Wagner also served as the associate head coach at the University of South Florida from 2012-15.

Before his stint at Texas, Wagner was a professional circuit touring coach, helping players like John Isner, Olga Govortsova, Ajla Tomljanovic and Melanie Oudin.

As a player at the University of Georgia, Wagner helped lead the Bulldogs to the NCAA Championship final in 2001 and 2002, including winning the 2001 national title. The All-American advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2002 NCAA singles tournament.

As he prepares to try and help Clemson climb the rankings, Wagner discussed the move and his expectations.
